The Men Will Cheer, The Boys Will Shout...

UPDATE: ALL BUT ONE OF THE GUYS ARE HOME!! Rob, Mike, Kevin, Pat all arrived... but our Guy Vinny is still in the Sandbox... he volunteered to take a special detail... might be home some time next week.... So, still waiting... but this morning's phone call sure was glorious!! Nothin' like, "Hey, Ma!" to get your day started!

OMG! Our Guys are on a flight scheduled to land at 4:00AM tomorrow!!!
WHOOOOHOOOO!
Our Guys are coming home!!! OMG! OMG! (Breathe... breathe...)
OK, so how funny is it that I AM STILL WAITING FOR THAT DANG PHONE CALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT????
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give him a hearty welcome then,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The men will cheer, the boys will shout,
The ladies they will all turn out,
And we'll all feel gay
When Johnny comes marching home.

The old church bells will peal with joy,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
To welcome home our darling boys,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The village lads and lassies say
With roses they will strew the way,
And we'll all feel gay
When Johnny comes marching home.

Get ready for the Jubilee,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give the hero three times three,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The laurel wreath is ready now
To place upon his loyal brow,
And we'll all feel gay
When Johnny comes marching home.

Let love and friendship on that day,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
Their choicest treasures then display,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
And let each one perform some part
To fill with joy the warrior's heart,
And we'll all feel gay
When Johnny comes marching home.

so glad they are home.

I must add here....this was the only song my Grandmother knew on the piano.....I think it must have been the first song I learned the words to.

never thought the words would ring so true in my heart....
