I’m not a milMom but I know the feeling when your loved one is in far away land… it is really a tough situation if your son/daughter is in the middle of war.
SSM ~ I'm so glad you are blogging!! You share so much good stuff. My daughter has been in a non-deployable unit the past 2 years (Veterinary Corps) but she recently put her name on the volunteer to deploy list. What with the way the military works, we milmoms never know when THAT phonecall could come, do we? I just said goodbye (and keep your butt down) to my #1 adopted "son" as he is on his way to Afghanistan. The knot in my stomach just got tighter. Thanks for being there for us, SSM! It really is good to be able to connect with other parents.
Mom of a career sailor AND a Navy vet AND a physician AND a medically retired Iraq veteran. Married to a retired career Navy Officer. Really love my 4 sisters and my big brother.
