Somewhere Out There

Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of you and loving you tonight
Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there if love can see us through
Then we'll be together somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

(Somewhere Out There by James Horner, Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil
From An American Tail (1987))

Thinking of you tonight, son... and hoping that when you look up at that same moon you know that we're thinking of you... and how much you are loved and missed by us all.

OH, Dear Mom,
You sure were missing your baby boy, last night. I'm hoping that he watched a beautiful Iraqi Sunrise, and got a quick chance to call home!, or a few minutes, to send an email...hugs, to you both!

{{Hugs}}, Mom. That is a perfect sentiment in those lyrics...

Hope you hear from him soon.

I love a full moon. I went outside just to look at it and I like you wonder, did Dan notice the full moon? I love hayrides under that kind of a moon. It is starting to feel like fall in Pa. We are having cooler weather which is a relief after the mid 90s for the last month.
This summer went fast and I am hoping the winter goes just as fast and spring will be here and Dan will be able to se a light at the end of the deployment tunnel.
Have a good day Mom. Praying for phone calls or messages from all of our soldiers.

What a beautiful post. Looking at the moon and knowing that we all share the same sky makes us feel more connected, doesn't it?

Soldier's Mom:
I am a sailor's mom. My son is in the Gulf right now. And I sing that song to the moon ALL THE TIME. Somehow I think it will reflect off and head in his direction. It was his favorite song as a toddler. Who would have thought that WILD 2 year old would become one of our nation's finest?

Prayers for your son's full recovery.
