Where Are You From?

I have a site meter and love to look at the various categories -- whether people have been referred from another site, the language of people accessing the site (don't worry -- it doesn't tell me who you are or your web address or things like that...)
While I did not have the site meter from the start, I am approaching 15,000 visitors (probably some time today), so I thought it would be interesting and fun to ask visitors to this site -- "Where ya'll from?" Just a city, state, province, country would be interesting... and perhaps a blurb about how you found this site... Post in the comments -- no registration required...
And let me say thank you for visiting and I'm so glad you came by!
(and no, no news from the Guys yet...)

Hi - I came to your site a few months ago from one of the many Milblogs I read. I check all of them almost daily, mostly lurking & reading, commenting occasionally. Obviously, I'm from AL - North Alabama. Praying with you that you hear something from your "guys" soon. Hang in there!

Well, my house is Indianapolis, IN. I'm rarely there though. My job requires travel so I bounce around between Washington DC, New Orleans and even Birmingham, AL. Hope to eventually land a project overseas - anywhere in Europe and a potential even in South Africa. But for now, I'm in the good ol' USA!

Hi, I'm a Marine's Dad and I'm from Austin Texas. I wish I could find some Marine blogs, but your blog is great. It reflects a lot of the thoughts that I have about my son.

Even though your son is ARMY (ain't ready 2b Marine yet) we love him and pray for all our boys and girls.

Bob

Dearest "Mom",
Thank you, for your truthful ways!!Within days of our son's death,(13jan.2005//Mosul, Iraq) i stumbled onto your blog.I read EVERY PARENTS NIGHTMARE.i cried for an hour. then i forwarded it, to EVERY parent I knew. I really appreciated the Tribute,(Mother's Day) to the Mothers living in Iraq, also. I visit here, often, reminding myself that the war continues....thanks, again, for your time, and energy, and my prayers are with your son& his commrades....debey

debey, please know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I cannot even begin to fathom the pain and emptiness your son's death must bring. You are a good woman and I admire your strength to persevere. You are in my prayers. Thank you and your family for the sacrifice your son made and thank you, too. I am truly, truly sorry.
